Franco Ponti, born in 1975 and raised during the vibrant "Milano da Bere" era of the 1980s, is a distinguished figure in the world of mixology. His journey began in high school when he apprenticed at various cocktail bars, refining his skills from basic tasks like fruit cutting to becoming an assistant bartender. During this time, he attended the A.I.B.E.S professional bartender school, graduating with top honors across all levels.

Ponti’s career flourished through international experiences. He worked at prestigious establishments in cities like London, Paris, and Berlin, further shaping his expertise. A defining period came during his time in New York, where he worked at the Russian Samovar vodka bar, and later in Los Angeles at The Standard Hotel as head bartender. Returning to Milan in 2001, Ponti managed several renowned cocktail bars, including the "Cuore" bar and seasonal venues like "Piscina Solari."

In 2005, Ponti launched Atomic Bar, quickly establishing it as a cornerstone of Milanese nightlife. Over the years, he has consulted for high-profile entities, crafted signature cocktails for top-tier brands, and collaborated with renowned chefs like Eugenio Boer and Maurizio Zillo. His expertise extends to teaching food and beverage management at the Food Genius Academy and developing innovative projects, such as a distillery venture with Carlo Milano.

Ponti currently serves as the F&B Manager for Rāma Cocktail Bar in Milan and Rome, continuing to influence the culinary and cocktail landscape with his creativity and experience. His work exemplifies a deep passion for mixology, elevated by a commitment to innovation and collaboration.
